Development of a Demonstration Kit for State Change of Refrigerant in a Vapor Compression Refrigeration System for Vocational Certificate Students

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a demonstration kit illustrating the state change of refrigerants in a vapor-compression refrigeration system for vocational certificate students, and to compare students’ academic achievement before and after instruction utilizing the developed demonstration kit. The research instruments included the demonstration kit, a content handout, a worksheet, a pre-test, and a post-test. The sample comprised 20 second-year electrical students enrolled in the Air Conditioning course during the 2024 academic year, selected through cluster random sampling. The findings revealed that experts rated the kit as highly effective. Moreover, a comparison of students’ pre-test and post-test scores showed a statistically significant improvement (t = 11.56, p = 0.001), with a mean pre-test score of 19.20 and a post-test score of 26.40. These results indicated a significant improvement in students’ academic achievement following the implementation of the demonstration kit. Consequently, the developed kit can be considered an effective instructional tool for vocational education.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อพัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพชุดสาธิตการเปลี่ยนสถานะสารทำความเย็นของเครื่องทำความเย็นระบบอัดไอ สำหรับนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนด้านความรู้ของผู้เรียนก่อนและหลังการเรียนโดยใช้ชุดสาธิตการเปลี่ยนสถานะสารทำความเย็นของเครื่องทำความเย็นระบบอัดไอ โดยเครื่องมือวิจัยนี้ประกอบด้วย ชุดสาธิตการเปลี่ยนสถานะสารทำความเย็นของเครื่องทำความเย็นระบบอัดไอสำหรับนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ ใบเนื้อหา ใบปฏิบัติงาน แบบทดสอบก่อนเรียนแบบทดสอบหลังเรียน โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัยเป็นนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ วิทยาลัยเทคนิคสมุทรสงคราม ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนในรายวิชาเครื่องปรับอากาศ สาขาวิชาช่างไฟฟ้ากำลัง ชั้นปีที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2567 จำนวน 20 คน ซึ่งได้มาจากการสุ่มแบบคลัสเตอร์
