Development of an Activity Kit for Increasing Carbon Content in Low Carbon Steel Combined with Situational Learning for Vocational Certificate Level Students

Abstract

The objective was to develop and determine the efficiency of an activity package for low-carbon steel carburization with situational learning, and to compare the students' learning achievement using the activity package against the criteria. The sample group consisted of 32 students, obtained through cluster sampling. The instruments used for data collection were: 1) a record form for teaching and learning problems, 2) the activity package, 3) an appropriateness assessment form with content validity ranging from 0.60-1.00, and 4) an engineering problem-solving skills test with content validity ranging from 0.60-1.00 and reliability of 0.88. Data analysis methods included content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The research results showed that the appropriateness of the activity package was at the highest level (= 4.79, = 0.42) The efficiency of the low-carbon steel carburization activity package was 83.26/84.00, higher than the specified criteria. The comparison of students' engineering problem-solving skills after using the activity package was significantly higher than the 80% criterion at the .05 level of statistical significance

วัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพชุดกิจกรรมการเพิ่มคาร์บอนให้แก่เหล็กกล้าคาร์บอนต่ำร่วมกับการเรียนรู้เชิงสถานการณ์ และเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนที่เรียนด้วยชุดกิจกรรมกับเกณฑ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 32 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีกลุ่มสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบกลุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ 1) แบบบันทึกสภาพปัญหาการจัดการเรียนการสอน 2) ชุดกิจกรรม 3) แบบประเมินความเหมาะสม มีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาตั้งแต่ 0.60-1.00 และ 4) แบบทดสอบทักษะการคิดแก้ปัญหาเชิงวิศวกรรมมีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาตั้งแต่ 0.60-1.00 และค่าความเชื่อมั่น 0.88 การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ความเหมาะสมของชุดกิจกรรมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (= 4.79 , = 0.42) ประสิทธิภาพของชุดกิจกรรมการเพิ่มคาร์บอนให้แก่เหล็กกล้าคาร์บอนต่ำมีค่าเท่ากับ 83.26/84.00 สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด และผลการเปรียบเทียบทักษะการคิดแก้ปัญหาเชิงวิศวกรรมของนักเรียนหลังจากใช้ชุดกิจกรรมสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
