Development of a Skill Training Kit for Automotive Painting for Vocational Certificate Students in the Industrial Sector

Abstract

The objective of this research article is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a skill training kit for automotive painting and to compare students’ learning achievement using the kit against a set benchmark. This is a qualitative study. The sample group consisted of one classroom of 26 third-year vocational certificate students, selected using a cluster sampling method. The tools used for data collection were: 1. Problem record and solutions in instructional management, 2. Development guidelines for the skill training kit, 3. Design documentation for the training kit development, and 4. Behavioral observation form. The content validity of the tools ranged from 0.60 to 1.00, with an inter-rater reliability score of 0.70. Data analysis involved content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test statistics. The research findings revealed that the students lacked proper automotive painting skills, as well as knowledge of appropriate behaviors and procedures. The current instructional media only demonstrated painting methods, which resulted in student performance falling below the expected standards. Consequently, the researcher developed a hands-on skill training kit to enhance students’ actual practice. The overall appropriateness of the kit was rated at the highest level (Mean = 4.59, S.D. = 0.13). The effectiveness of the skill training kit for vocational students in industrial fields exceeded the set standard of 80/80, and the comparison of students’ practical performance after using the kit showed statistically significant improvement above 80% at the .05 level.

บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อพัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพชุดฝึกทักษะในงานพ่นสีรถยนต์และเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนที่เรียนด้วยชุดฝึกทักษะในงานพ่นสีรถยนต์เทียบกับเกณฑ์ การวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ นักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพชั้นปีที่ 3 จำนวน 1 ห้อง จำนวน 26 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีการสุ่มแบบกลุ่มเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ 1) แบบบันทึกสภาพปัญหาและแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาการจัดการเรียนการสอน 2) แบบบันทึกแนวทางการพัฒนาชุดฝึกทักษะ 3) แบบบันทึกการออกแบบการพัฒนาชุดฝึกทักษะ 4) แบบสังเกตุพฤติกรรม มีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาตั้งแต่ 0.60-1.00และค่าความเชื่อมั่นจากการสังเกตของเกณฑ์การประเมินระหว่างผู้ประเมิน 0.70 การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือ การวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักเรียนยังขาดทักษะในการพ่นสีรถยนต์ ขาดความรู้ด้านพฤติกรรมและขั้นตอนในการพ่นสีที่ถูกต้อง และการใช้สื่อการสอนแสดงเพียงวิธีการพ่นสี ทำให้นักเรียนมีผลการเรียนต่ำกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด ผู้วิจัยจึงมีแนวคิดที่จะพัฒนาชุดฝึกทักษะในการเรียนรู้ ผู้เรียนจะได้มีการฝึกทักษะที่แท้จริงความเหมาะสมของชุดฝึกทักษะ ภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (= 4.59 , S.D. = 0.13)ประสิทธิภาพของชุดฝึกทักษะทักษะในงานพ่นสีรถยนต์ สำหรับนักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพประเภทวิชาอุตสาหกรรมที่เรียนด้วยชุดฝึกทักษะ สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด 80/80 และผลการเปรียบเทียบทักษะการปฏิบัติงานของนักเรียนหลังการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะสูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05
