Factors of Conflict Between Residence Owners and Interior Architects and Decorative Arts Design Professionals

Abstract

The objective is to explore and compare the proportional relationships of factors leading to design conflicts, including time, contract, budget, and workload-quality aspects. The research scope focuses on conflicts in interior design that may arise between homeowners, residents, and designers. The sample consists of three groups: homeowners, residents, and interior designers who have undergone the interior design process for residential projects. A total of 460 participants were surveyed, comprising 200 homeowners, 200 residents, and 60 designers. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed statistically. The research findings indicate that homeowners and residents experience the highest level of conflict regarding budget, while designers experience the most conflict concerning time. Further analysis reveals those junior designers and senior designers both encounter conflicts due to insufficient time during the design development phase. Lead designers experience an equal level of conflict regarding time insufficiency during the design development phase where no conflict arises. The study recommends improving contracts and budget planning to address distinct challenges at each stage.

ปัจจัยของความขัดแย้งระหว่างเจ้าของบ้านพักอาศัยกับสถาปนิกออกแบบภายในและผู้ประกอบการด้านมัณฑนศิลป์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจและเปรียบเทียบสัดส่วนความสัมพันธ์ ของปัจจัยที่นำไปสู่ความขัดแย้งในการออกแบบ ด้านเวลา ด้านสัญญา ด้านงบประมาณ และ ด้านปริมาณงานและคุณภาพงาน ที่เกิดขึ้นระหว่างเจ้าบ้านและผู้อาศัยกับผู้ออกแบบ โดยกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 3 กลุ่มคือกลุ่มเจ้าบ้าน กลุ่มผู้อาศัยและกลุ่มผู้ออกแบบที่ผ่านกระบวนการออกแบบภายในสำหรับบ้านพักอาศัย จำนวน 460 คน แบ่งเป็นกลุ่มเจ้าบ้านและผู้อาศัย กลุ่มละ 200 คน กลุ่มผู้ออกแบบ 60 คน โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากการเก็บแบบสอบถามร่วมกับการวิเคราะห์เชิงสถิติ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า เจ้าบ้านและผู้อาศัยมีความขัดแย้งในด้านงบประมาณมากที่สุด ผู้ออกแบบ มีความขัดแย้งในด้านเวลามากที่สุด จากการวิเคราะห์พบว่า กลุ่มผู้ออกแบบที่มีประสบการณ์น้อย และกลุ่มผู้ออกแบบที่มีประสบการณ์มากเกิดความขัดแย้งเรื่องระยะเวลาที่กำหนดไม่เพียงพอ ในขั้นตอนแบบขั้นพัฒนา กลุ่มหัวหน้าทีมออกแบบเกิดความขัดแย้งเรื่องระยะเวลาที่กำหนด ไม่เพียงพอ ในขั้นตอนแบบขั้นพัฒนาและไม่เกิดความขัดแย้งมีจำนวนเท่ากัน ข้อเสนอแนะจากการวิจัย สัญญาและงบประมาณในแต่ละงวดมีลักษณะปัญหาของงานที่แตกต่างกัน ทั้งนี้สามารถปรับปรุงกระบวนการทำงานระหว่างเจ้าบ้านและผู้อาศัยกับผู้ออกแบบ เพื่อหาแนวทาง ในการลดปัญหาและเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการทำงานร่วมกัน การติดตามงานและการตรวจสอบคุณภาพอย่างสม่ำเสมอ จะช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการทำงานและลดปัญหาในระยะยาว
